Rajon Rondo injured his right hand in game 2 of the NBA Playoffs at Boston on Tuesday night. Rondo underwent a subsequent exam and x-rays that confirmed a thumb fracture. Surgery is not required for this injury, and he is out indefinitely.
Rondo averaged 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 1.4 steals in the regular season. In two games in the Playoffs versus the top-seeded Boston Celtics, he normed 11.5 points, 8.5 rebs, 10.0 asst, and 3.5 steals
